My kids love for me to own a RV. I would love one too to bring them on a vacation. It is definitely a savings on vacation. Now they even have 5th wheel insurance for RV. Fifth wheel insurance is required for RV that has extension. You can check with your insurance agents, if you need more information.
For any unforeseen circumstances, you need towing, it will need a special equipment to tow the RV. Normal insurance policies do not cover that. If you do not have fifth wheel insurance, you should not hit the road with it.
