I love spending time doing any type of puzzles. When I was in University, I used to put 1000 pieces of jigsaw puzzles together. It is one of the best past time hobby because most of the time I spend at home and less time for me to spend money outside.

Today while I was shopping at Daiso, I saw this puzzle. Actually before that, I have seen it many times. I told myself, it is impossible to separate the color balls. Never took a second look. However today, I picked it up and started playing with it. Then I discovered a method of doing so. It took me 5 minutes to separate the color balls. Cool right?

Try it when you go into Daiso the next time. It is also a test of your patience.

Baby Stroller Technology

In the market, I saw so many types of baby strollers from complicated to really simple ones. Really some complicated ones, I have a hard time figuring out how to open and fold it. However I heard the uppa baby stroller is very easy to use.

It folds easily too. It comes with a baby carrier. One thing I like about this stroller is that it has a very large storage basket to put all the baby things. It comes in many colors too.

Every time I go to US, I always forget to bring my sunglasses and the sun is always very glary there especially during summer. It makes driving difficult at times. However I found a nice sunglasses store in the Great Mall. The deals were as good as the discount maui jim sunglasses.

It was time for me to try on every pair there. I love shopping there because you can put on as many as you want without having the sales person stare at you. I cannot tell if they were branded or replicas. Most of it looks very good.

I was browsing through the fuji digital cameras and I have to say that I like the Fuji FinePix Z800 EXR model.

It has wide 3.5” LCD display that allows you to view the best quality pictures. I am sure you won’t go wrong with capturing some beautiful scenery. On top of that it has a motion Panorama 360 that allows you to capture the scene around you in a single photo. It has some intelligence system which it is useful of amateur photographer like me to take good pictures.

Lately, a lot of people have start up their online business. I know a few friends of mine who have online shops. Today, it is easy to start one up without any knowledge of computers. The software world has made it easy for layman to create an online store with speed.

I am an online shopper myself. I saw this online store that sells hip hop clothes, jeans and dresses. I wished I can do a virtual try on for these clothing. It is so much easier for me to browse through the styles online without walking far.

A few of my friends are pregnant and time for me to shop new baby gifts. There are so many lovely gifts out there. I am always glad to hear good news about mothers having new additions. The joy just spread from one to another.

Missing Dress

I cannot believe it that I don’t have nice special occasion dresses. I guess I stop buying when I had children. Now most of the time, I get clothes for them and forget myself. Yesterday I looked in my wardrobe, only to be disappointed because I cannot find anything I can wear for Chinese New Year. I must go and look for a nice cheong sam.

I must say the opportunity to wear nice clothes is less when I moved to Penang. I guess most of the people here like to dress casually. At my work place, when I wear something nice, my colleagues will tease me about dressing smartly for an interview. Yeap, most of the time, workers here wear jeans and shirt.

Anyhow, this year I must get myself a nice dress and make full use of it. Shopping malls, here I come!

For me shopping is the best weight loss supplements for me. I can shop and shop, walk the whole day, never get enough of it. The only time where I have no mood to shop is when I am out of money. You see it is really no fun to just window shop and not buy anything.

I believed it is also good for health. Walking is good for the heart. Then you have the lifting of bags after bags, filled with shopping loots.

Next, the adrenaline rush when you see something you like and it is on promotion. I get all excited. That is why I love to walk in the Coach outlets in US. I must say that shopping is very healthy for me. The bad side is that it burned a hole in your pocket. By the way, guys don’t understand the beauty of shopping. They just walk in to the shop, buy their stuff and walk out. That’s boring!

My Slick Toy

I wanted to get a point and shoot camera because the current Canon camera is giving me battery problem. It seems that the battery always showing low very quickly. I saw a Lumix point and shoot I like. I read up some preview on the ZR3 and FH20 model. Most reviewers are saying good things about Lumix. I like the intelligent feature in the camera where I do not have to adjust any macro shots. Everything is done on the fly.

I made up my mind to get the ZR3 and I went online to see how I can get it cheap. US pricing was USD$230++ and here the local store was selling RM1299 with some free gift like SD card, tripod and leather case.

I surfed into ebay to check out the price there. A brand new one cost only USD$210 (est. RM$655). Wow, so I ordered one. I ordered it when I was in Kuala Lumpur, on Friday night. I thought it probably will take 2 weeks to arrive. Guess what? The camera arrived at my place in Penang on Monday. Talk about super efficient from the ebay seller. I am so very happy that I saved 50% on this camera. What a GREAT deal!!

I just got to know about Black Friday, the Friday after Thanksgiving. It will kick start the Christmas shopping. It is the busiest shopping day because you get lots of great Black Friday deals.

All About Diamonds

I have been learning about how diamonds are graded and how to appreciate its value. I also like looking at diamond to check out if any flaw in them.

If you are looking to buy one, you need to understand its grading system. The characteristics of a diamond are Cut, Carat, Color, Clarity and Certification. The 5Cs. The color ranges from D to Z. D being colorless and Z being yellowish. A D color diamond is more precious.

Carat is the weight of the diamond. The heavier it is the more valuable it will be. Diamonds come in many types of cut from round brilliant diamond to the princess cut. I would prefer round diamonds.

Clarity will indicate whether the diamond has any flaws like blemishes within the stone. It is graded with FL (Flawless), IF (Internally Flawless), VVS1, VVS2 (Very Very Slight Included), VS1, VS2 (Very Slight Included), SI1, SI2, SI3 (Slightly Included), I1, I2 and I3 (Included). Anyone would want a flawless diamond here.

Today, there are many types of certification that are recognized like GIA, AGS, EGL and others. You can resale your diamond if it comes with certification.

It is a trend now for people to shop online. It is very convenient for everyone. I really hope that Malaysia will advance in this area. Christmas Shopping

Christmas will be here in 3 weeks time. Everyone is shopping for Christmas. My children sent me their wish list 6 months ago and I have already gotten their gift. They are pretty cool because they know I have the gift but they didn’t pester me to let them play with it.

I am so fortunate because they didn’t asked for Nintendo WII, else I will be spending a lot on wii accessories.
