CAdmin: I called to order paper 2 weeks ago, how come it hasn’t delivered yet.
SStaff: Bla Bla Bla…
CAdmin: What you mean no transport to Penang? What kind of excuse is this?
SStaff: Bla Bla Bla…
CAdmin: Do you mean we have to stop operations because the supplier has no transport to Penang?
SStaff: Bla Bla Bla…
CAdmin: You better do something about this. I don’t want people yelling at me because no paper.
SStaff: Bla Bla Bla…
CAdmin: Please don’t give me silly excuses. Get those papers over here.
SStaff: Bla Bla Bla….
CAdmin: Yes, please check for me. Bye!
She is absolutely right, some time support staffs give really lame excuses when it comes to issues. They will not bother to solve it to make things right. As I hear more and more of her stories, I really empathies with admins. Sometimes managers do abuse their power and ask admins to do impossible tasks. If you have an admin, treat her well.
There is this admin who speak very loud and she can be very comical at times. Most people in my department can hear her funny and sarcastic remarks. I would like to share some with you.
She was on the phone with a support staff.
CAdmin: No we don’t collect notebook from the mail room.
Staff: bla bla bla *sorry, I cannot hear the conversation on the other end*
CAdmin: Usually, the notebook will be delivered to my department, we don’t go collect it.
Staff: bla bla bla bla…
CAdmin: You think today is my first day at work. I been working here a long time and I never collected the notebook from the mail room.
Staff: bla bla bla bla bla…
CAdmin: You go figure and call me back.
Other remarks at other time:
CAdmin: It takes so long for the support staff to answer to phone, hey I cannot wait forever.
CAdmin: This person walks in and out, never seen her get anything done. Just walk here and there. He certainly has a good life.
By now, everyone near her knows her problem. I think she knows it and maybe she would like everyone to know that too. More in the next episode.
