I am looking forward to the coming Chinese New Year festival. Yeah I will be going back to my mom’s place and enjoy her cooking! That is one thing I missed.

I have started to make Chinese New Year lanterns for decorating my home. I saw one post from my pool of bloggers blogging about it. It has some good tutorials in it. Here are my lanterns and below are instructions to make these lanterns. Have fun with it.

I am so used to having night Conference call. I am glad that my company provides a lot of tools for me to have online meetings and in my very own home. That means I do not have to stay in the office late.

First I have a VOIP phone that I can dial into the conference. Or I can use my house phone and dial a toll free number to join the conference. If I want to set up a meeting, I can provide a meeting id to my attendees for them to dial in.

Secondly if I want make presentations, I have another application where attendees can join online to see my slides. With that application, it has a chat box for discussion, participant lists of attendees, a screen to show the presentation slides, a poll if you want to get responses and you can share your desktop if you want to demo a program.

I am so glad that I am working in this high tech company to enjoy technology that makes my life easier so that I can focus on my work.

My kids love to visit the gadget store, you know why? Every time they go, they will go test out the games installed on the notebooks or iPads. If there is WiFi available, they will connect to their favorite online games site and start playing. They can be there for ages.

While they are doing that, I was browsing the colorful Sony VAIO display set. It is ultra sleek and it comes in many colors. I heard that it is one of the most popular items. I must say that the screen display has amazing clarity and the colors are vibrant. I am sure the sound system will be good coming from Sony.

I am sure by now, you have opened all your Christmas gift. I don’t get many gifts, maybe because I don’t give out many either. I must make an effort to do that especially to people beyond my family circle. I saw really lovely and good couples gifts for christmas. I always wonder how painful it is form one to get a tattoo. For me tattoo is a big no. I have been taught from young that getting a tattoo is a serious offense. I know someone who did a tattoo when he was young and he wants to have it removed.

Well I guess he needs to seek a tattoo remover and I wonder if that is painful. I hope you are not in his shoe.

I must say that my current skin is pretty enough and I do not need to have a tattoo. It will destroy my beautiful skin. And I don’t think a guy is macho with a tattoo either.

Lately I been working late and getting very little sleep. Sad to say I am not young anymore. I may need to get some anti aging products that work to reduce any sign of wrinkles. However I hope to catch up with my sleep.

Snow Places

My kids have been asking me to bring them to a country which snow. I love seeing snow fall. I am glad I have experienced that a few times, in Japan, China and US. Maybe I should plan a trip to China with them next Chinese New Year.

Once I was in US, I rented a car. I saw a big brush on the car seat and was perplexed why they would leave a brush in the car. I threw it to the backseat. Next day, my whole car was covered with snow then it occurred that the brush is for sweeping away the snow from the wind screens. I had to go searching for it.

At that time, I wished I had a honda snowblowers to clear the path. It was really cold when I was brushing off the snow and my feet were sinking into the snow too. It was quite an experience for me.

I have some colleagues who are crazy over football. I believed they watch every football matches on TV. If I really want to get them a gift, I will just visit the football gift sites. There are so many football stuff that I am sure they would love to have.
