I have an interest in interior decorating for new homes. In fact, I almost took this course and make a career out of it. However at that time, I didn’t have any portfolio. In order for me to get into the course, I need to draw some interior designs. I wasn’t prepared for it. I went into computer science instead and did graphics design. Career turned out to be totally different from my thesis.

Recently I renovated my apartment with some of the designs I had in mind. I was so satisfied with the outcome. Ooh, I didn’t have much budget to work with. If I had, I would have gotten some contemporary furniture to go with it. The thing with contemporary furniture, it brings out the warmth or cozy feeling in the home. You are able to make full use of the space too. Space is very limited when it comes to the property here. We need to be able to make it look spacious, yet having enough furniture to cater for our needs.

I like going to Ikea when I am done in KL. There is lots of small and nice deco for my lovely home. Once I went there during long holidays and to my surprised I met 4 friends from Penang. I didn’t even bum into any friends in KL. Maybe Ikea is for outstation folks, I donno.
