Funny I am getting hungry easily. Is this a sign of old age or hormone changes? I am not sure what is happening to my body but it is weird. I never had this problem when I was younger. I may need some natural appetite suppressant to keep my appetite away.
One evening I had a heavy dinner, I ate rice, a drumstick and 2 vegetables. It was at 7pm and by 9pm, my brain is hunting for food. I had to open my junk food cupboard to see what I can munch.
Of cause I always buy extra vegetables like carrots, celery, cucumber, green beans or fruits to snack on at night. Munching vegetables and fruits is definitely healthier than munching junk food.

My mom started to catch Hong Kong TVB Drama Series when I was young. These drama series are just like the soap operas in US. I caught on because every night, I watched it with her. Believe me we both can really watch until way pass midnight.
Recently I watched Off Pedder, a comedy TVB series. I like it and was addicted to it. I started watching from episode 200 onwards. Later I found that the first 50 episodes were very good. In Cantonese, I am like boiling drama series meaning watching it every night.
Sometimes, I can watch 5 episodes at a time because it keeps you in suspense and I want to find the answers. Well, due to this, I am a little deprived of sleep. A few acnes are appearing. I need some acnefree cream. I need my beauty sleep and had to reduce the time spent on watching this. Don’t get yourself started.

I have been exercising on my treadmill. The treadmill helps to tone the lower parts of the body, legs and thighs. Now I wished I have some Kettlebells to tone the upper body like my arms muscles. It looks kind of flabby.
Maybe then I will have a perfect body. Well a body builder spent a lot of time in gym toning their body. I wonder how many hours of gym do they do every day to make themselves look good. Some is over doing it and the outcome is not a pretty sight. Won Bin, my favorite Korean actor has the looks and a very well body tone.
I don’t think I will be able to spend so much time in the gym. I just hope to achieve a healthy body at the end of the day.

I am making progress on my new treadmill. I exercise to stay healthy, not so much of losing weight. Although slimming down my thighs would be a good thing.
What my progress? Hrmm…very slow. The first time on the treadmill, I managed to burn 50 calories on a 30 min walk and run. Yesteday, I burned 70 calories on a 25 min run. I ran out of time because I had to go out.
Today, I burned 0 because I was too sleepy after work. However after my nap, I took 370 calories of delicious World Class Baskin Robins ice-cream. There goes all the hard work. As I said, I exercise not to lose weight but to give my heart a healthy exercise and sweat out all the body toxins.
Next week, I will hope to burn 100 calories per day.

I walked and ran 1.6km on my treadmill. I only burned 50 calories. That is not even 1 roti canai or 1 egg. I need to work harder.

I always wanted to exercise but no time to do it. By the time I reach home and wait for my son to finish dinner, it is late. The other day while my family was shopping, we went into a fitness shop and started asking about treadmills. I tried some of them. The sales man cum instructor gave us a lot of info on treadmills. He told me that among the brand, made in US is more durable. I tried on some of them but the price was beyond my budget.
We went to another shop called Takasima, the sales man is really good in his tactics of marketing. He didn’t know I can see through it. First he said that there is a promo, if we get the treadmills, we will get a free exercise bicycle and he threw in a massage thingy. The price is still beyond my budget. Next he came up with a coupon with 35% discount. He kept telling me that the coupon is the last one and if I don’t make up my mind, it could be taken by someone else. Yeah Yeah Yeah…all sales people do that.
Anyway the price is within my budget and I wanted to own it. It has all the features I need with programs, incline, speed, pulse rate checks, safety feature and fold-able. It comes with life time warranty service. I didn’t even know treadmills need service. It is definitely a good deal for the price I am getting. Gift from my hubby.
Now I can exercise at home and stay healthy. It is long overdue. I just had 30 minutes of great workout. I feel superb!!

The other day I was watching a documentary of how a team of people work together to dismantled a huge stadium. One of the dangerous tasks was to remove the asbestos material underneath the flooring. I must say that this year I been doing very little exercise. Yeap, I realized I am living an unhealthy life. Before I had kids, I used to go to the gym and run on
treadmills. Now most of my time goes to the children.
I really want to join back gym and increase my exercise routine. I wonder how much gym membership cost now. Maybe next year resolution for me is to increase my exercise time and live a healthier life.

Today my friend relayed this story to me. Take it with a pinch of salt. She has a sick relative suspected of high fever and flu. She took her to the clinic to check, hoping for a blood test. The doctor said that she should have gone to the hospital and not come to the clinic. My personal thoughts: The doctor was afraid of a true case of H1N1. He refused to do a blood test for her. Well the doctor has a point, if she is truly H1N1 or flu, she will be spreading to others in the waiting area. Maybe even close down the clinic for a week.
So my friend took her to a private hospital emergency wad. The hospital told her to wait at the emergency waiting area. There were people there too, also in danger of getting her flu. Finally she got to see the doctor again refuse the blood test. The doctor said if he was to do a blood test and it is a true H1N1, they may need to close down the hospital. He directed her to General Hospital, GH (aka public hospital). My personal thoughts: Yeah, should have just sent her away to GH quickly and not have her wait in the waiting area, right?
She went to GH and also directed to the waiting area with lots of people in queue. She had to wait longer until 2am. Finally her turn came. It is funny, when the doctor heard her symptoms, quickly he grabbed a mask and put it on. He also gave her one to put on. GH didn’t have a proper quarantine waiting room, put her in a secluded area. She finally got the blood test done. My personal thoughts: I wondered why they cannot put up a proper secluded waiting area and gave out mask ahead for flu symptoms patients. The process need to be changed. GH is way under staffs and there are too many patients.
The blood test result state that she has dengue. Actually my friend already suspected that her relative got dengue because of the red spots. However doctors refuse to listen or maybe too scare to do the blood test. Poor sick gal had to go through the terrible ordeal, waiting and rejection. Is that how we get treated if we are sick? Something for the govt to ponder.

Yes I do have fats near my belly area. I guess it is there after I delivered 2 lovely children. People told me to go for massage during my confinement. It is a great help to lose belly fat. I was being lazy and didn’t take their advice.
Now my belly area looks flabby. I believe if I do some proper sit ups, it may help to reduce the flabbiness. I just have to find the time to do it.
Somehow I do get fats in my lower body area. I have a pear shape body figure. However not many people notice because I tend to dress to hide those fatty areas. I desperately need a workout before my doctor sound the alarm. I have been busy working and hardly have time for exercise. The only exercise I have is chasing after my children. Now they have grown up, it has reduced.
How I wish I have one of those home gyms. I always wanted a tread mill. I remembered when I was working in US, I could just go down to the basement and walk on the treadmill during my free time.
It helps me relax and when I am running on the treadmill, I can think through things. I need a treadmill that I can store away easily but big enough for me to jog on it. It will be cool!

Today getting MC is a breeze. I came down with flu, nothing serious but now with the spread of swine flu, everyone is very cautious. I do not have fever because it is really hard for me to get fever. The panel doctor will not give me MC if no fever with some exception cases.
Anyway, I went to the in house clinic and try to get an MC. I was really feeling dizzy and body aching, not fit to work. Maybe lack of sleep due to late night conferences. To my amazement, the doctor issued it right away, no question asked. I jokingly said that most of my colleagues are avoiding me because I am having flu. She asked me whether I want a mask. Sorry, I hate those masks and I rather stay at home.
Today I am working from home for the benefit of others. I don’t want to spread my germs around.

One of my relative has a peculiar habit. She likes to finish off her family leftover. As she grows older, she is slightly overweight. She still eats her family leftover as the habit sticks with her. She cannot stand and food wastage.

Lately I been dinning out a lot and I think there are more dinners to come. Recently we have a free company buffet, a family outing buffet and an upcoming weddings invites to 10 course meals. I think I may need Fenphedra to burn some fat.

Today I am so very happy. I got my blood test back and guess what. You gals are gonna kill me for this. All normal and my cholesterol level dropped from 3.7 to 3.4. The desirable level is below 5.2. My doctor said that I can have a few more packs of Nasi Lemak.

Anyway, it was a long awaited blood test and I tell you why. I have to do the blood test every year to monitor my thyroid hormones. The doc will throw in the entire blood test package instead of doing just the boring thyroid hormones. After all it is free for me.
On 3rd of Oct, I was happily shopping in Ikea and suddenly a SMS came telling me that I have a doc’s appointment. Oh no, I totally forgot about it. Anyway, I reschedule the appointment. However when I go back to Penang, my menses came. I tried not to have my blood draw during my menses so I postponed it again to another week.
Third week came and both my children were sick with high fever. Bumma, if I was superstitious I might have thought that the blood test is a jinx. I caught a fever bug too.
Finally fourth week, I called up the doc’s clinic to check whether I can see him. He may have surgeries in the morning. I got a spot and I went. I took my blood test and he called me in the afternoon to tell me the results, everything looks good.
