I won The Samsung Note from a SMS contest. It was really a surprise to me. It started when I walked passed a junk food shop in Queensbay and outside there is a huge banner on the contest. In order to participate, I need to spend minimum $50, I think on a particular credit card for anything. I was holding a receipt that was $50 or more.

I text in to register, only 1 SMS. One morning, my phone rang and the caller told me that I was one of the fortunate one to win the contest if I answer the question. It was a TRUE or FALSE question. I answered it correctly. After 1 month, I received a SMS that I won and they will send me the Note. How cool was that?

But I still like my iPhone…lol

Anyhow TheNote has made me watch Korean drama series. And those Korean artists, most of them use Samsung Note. Not only that, I am slowly liking Korean music when I don’t even know Korean. Freaky!

I really wished my car maintenance free battery. Now I have to check the battery water to make sure it is above the minimal amount. I really dislike doing that.

Let’s hope my service mechanic does that for me when I send in for service. It is not expensive to get the maintenance free battery. Some have 2 years warranty depending on model. However since my car came with the old traditional battery, I have to live with it.

The next change, I definitely will get maintenance free battery and as powerful as pwc battery !

I am looking for a piano for my little girl. I know what brand of piano I want to get but not sure what model. However I don’t see her spending much time practicing so I am reluctant to get an expensive piano. Maybe if I get her an Electro-Harmonix Pedals that go with her piano practice, she will put more time in her piano playing.

She loves mixing the different types of rhythm, effects and tone while she is playing the electronic keyboard. Hope she will be continue her music journey and I need to hunt for a piano.

I use my iPhone for my alarm clock. I got used to one of the ringtone to wake me up. I guess it is the only thing that can wake me up in the morning. Yeah I am not a morning person. By the way I saw this really cool ipod alarm clock that I can plug to the speaker. It will be nice to have some nice music to wake you up early in the morning. You can also set your favorite song for that.

It is certainly a good gift for someone who cannot wake up early. As for me, I stick to my iPhone alarm clock.

I really interested in life insurance for senior citizens. I mean how many of us are covered until you die? Current traditional insurance only cover until 65 or at most 70, and that’s it.

The other day I was shopping, actually more like browsing in the hardware store. I saw a few grills that are very high tech. I must say that a good grill produce good food. Once I was in US and tasted the most grilled juicy homemade hamburger meat. It is the grill that makes it so juicy. It keeps the moist inside the grill as it is cooking.

I wished I can grill food here but the hot weather here doesn’t permit it. How I wish, we have more cooling weather like winter in this country. Lot of stuff we can do outdoor which we missed here.

It is so sad to see so many con artists on the Net especially those Nigerian’s email. The other day I posted some stuff I want sell on mudah.my. After posting it, I received many emails saying they are from UK/London or abroad wanted to buy my stuff. But they want me to ship to Nigeria or South Africa. Yeah right!

Anyway, I told them straight that I do not do any shipping outside my country. Yet, they still email me back. Can’t they take hint that I know they are cons.

I am glad I read one article here:http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/3887493.stm, someone actually able to con them back. As a Chinese saying goes “If you don’t taste chili, you don’t know that it is hot”

So beware of this scammers out there especially if you are selling stuff on the Net!

I love to look at plants and I am glad I have a small garden. However it needs to be managed properly. I don’t have any extra time to do any gardening. I wished I had more time to spend in my garden.

I also need a compost tumbler to put all my compost inside to make fertilizer. This is one good way to recycle your compost. I am sure your plants will love the compost fertilizer.

If my grandpa was alive today, he would love to have these backwoods cigars free shipping. Once in a while he will smell his cigar before lighting it up. My little girl is asking me to get a remote helicopter for her so she can fly it. When I was in US, I did see a lot of these remote helicopters for sale. One of the sales man told me that the cheaper ones do not last especially when it go crashing to the ground or hit something hard. However the good ones are really expensive. I didn’t get any.

Maybe those electric rc trucks are more reliable. By the way, Queensbay mall have a open track for you to test out these remote toys. You can even race your cars there.

I didn’t know that you can have cool car rims until my 4 wheels were stolen. Yes, many years ago, I parked my car outside my house and next morning my dad screamed when all my 4 wheels were stolen.

Imagine, my car was park on a slope, yet the thief can jet it up and take away all the wheels. They left 2 jets to support it. How crazy can he be?

Anyway, I reported to the police and went shopping for new wheels. I wished I had known the beyern custom wheels, they have really cool custom wheels. I drove a sporty car too, it certainly add style to it.

After that incident, my car is parked inside the house rather than out.

I really hate it when I cannot get phone signals at part of my house. Many of my friends have complained they cannot get me. I wished I have a wireless cell booster to boost up the signal in my home.

I like the iBooster for iPhone. It is a plug and play booster with no installation required. However it is only for 2G and 3G. I wonder is there a version for iPhone 4? I must go do some research on it. If you have use one before, feel free let me know if it works.

I do hate driving at night in US. I got used to the bright streets light here. In US, street lights are rare. When driving there, I can only see a few feet away. One thing good is that people do not jaywalk there because the street is very wide. Every time I drove at night there, I do wish I have anOff Road Lights on my vehicle.

At one time, I made a wrong turning into some residential area with no lights at all. Worst thing, it was raining heavily. I am so glad I made it out safely, thanks to the GPS.

I support recycling, trying to create less trash. One of many ways is to use rechargeable batteries and charger. I am glad I got a good rechargeable batteries brand. I have been using it for many years.

Besides rechargeable batteries, I sent aluminums cans, junk mails papers, newspapers and other recyclable materials to recycle centers. I am glad that I found one collection center not too far from my home. Let’s recycle to reduce waste.

I love these flower arrangement designs from EZBloomers.com. The flowers arrangement is so gorgeous. Kudos to whoever that did it. Now they made me want to take up floral arrangement.

I like their plants blooming products too. Tulips are my favorite. Sigh, I cannot bring it here. If tulips are able to gloom here, I would plant it all over my garden.

I believed their floral arrangement value is in every designs I see. I would recommend anyone to get flowers from there. On top of that, you do not need to pay substantial fees for middleman. My house is always running out of space. Storage is a problem because my property is not so big. I wished I have a bigger land that I can ask those steel buildings maker to build a garage for me.

Those who are living in US are so fortunate to get land space for a big playground for their kids, gardening space, garage space and a patio too. Most of my friends who migrated there have those. Maybe I should move out of the island when I retired.

Power Outages

I can feel that the weather here is getting hotter every year. The worst is when the house is heated night time and power went out. That’s when I wished I owned a yamaha generator to at least power up my fan or air condition.

I am glad we don’t have many power outages here. Talking about outages, I was in Genting and the power went out. Fortunately for us, we were in the hotel room. I heard some ladies chattering outside where they cannot get into their room. The door was with electronic locks. It was total darkness and the lift wasn’t working. I wonder what do you do? Thank goodness, the power came back on after 5 minutes.
