Wow I liked the neckties on this site, many are affordable designer ties too. Do you know that, if you are into fashion, they have different color for different season? You can find out more from Ties-Necktie.com. Light blue tie is for warm summer days while rose, pink and orange are for spring.

Ties come in many different colors and pattern. You can find most of it on the website. I wonder how this one looks like on my man. Maybe it can add some charm to his life. Shall I order one?

Shabu Shabu At Queensbay

I was thrilled to hear that Shabu Shabu was in Penang. I am not sure if it is the same chain from Kuala Lumpur. I doubt it. It opened in Queensbay mall at the 3rd floor, near the Queens Food Court.

Shabu Shabu is a place to have buffet steam boat. They have a conveyor belt to serve the food and there are soup pots in the table to boil the food. It is RM31.90+ per pax.

However this Shabu had a 90 minutes time limit, the KL one doesn’t. The food variety was limited and very small in portion especially vegetables. There weren’t many types of sauce too. Definitely not what I expected. When I was there, I didn’t see any noodles.

The one in KL and town is much better than this. I will give them a rating of 2 out of 5.

iPhone Is Sick

Last few days my iPhone was really sick, not literally. It couldn’t detect any WiFi anywhere. I wasn’t sure what I did. I didn’t install any new apps or change any configuration.

I search the internet for answers or fixes. You know what? I have found so many people having the same problem that their iPhone cannot detect WiFi. However there was no absolute fix, just some trial and error suggestions which many people feedback, it didn’t work for them.

I decided to backup my iPhone and apply the firmware again. It worked for a while and it was back to square 1. I did that for a few times and I also managed to crash iTunes too in the midst of doing that. Everything was not working. Sigh.

I started from ground 0 again. I applied the original firmware so that everything will be wiped out. Secondly, I jailbreak the iPhone with redsn0w. The WiFi was working. I restored my backup. WiFi was working. So far so good. I installed some apps from Cydia. WiFi broke down.

Ahhh…I realized that It was one of the apps from Cydia. Guess which one. It was MxTube version 1.5c. That was preventing my WiFi from working. I removed that, WiFi is back on! Hooray!!

I used to have MxTube on 3.0 firmware but looks like it is not going well with 3.1.3. Believed me, it ran for a whole month without any issues and suddenly it didn’t want to work anymore.
Moral of the story, if your WiFi is not working, it could be some apps you installed. Try removing one by one to see which one is causing the problem.

I have downgrade from 3.1.3 to 3.1.2. Now it is really working fine!!

Google had pacman game on its search engine last week to commemorate 30th anniversary of the pacman game. I haven’t played the game for a long time. I am glad I still have the skills.

My brother was the King of pacman. He used to complete all level. He gets so many free games at the arcade. He played until the owner of the arcade want to close shop and return his 20 cents back. Those days it was 20 cents per game. He played the whole day with 20 cents. I used to sit by him and watched him play.

This game does bring back memories.

Walk In Bathtubs

After a long day at work, I really wished I have one of those walk in bathtubs to soak myself in. Those walk in bathtub is really good, it doesn’t take up much space in your bathroom. Yeah, I have a really small bathroom so I cannot install any long bathtub.

It is really good after a soak, it calms the body down and the mind will become relax. It helps to relieve stress of any kind. I will definitely get one of those walk in bathtubs if it is available here.

Pen Your Will

A Will is a written declaration of a person of things he wishes to take effected after his death or at the time of his death. At the time of his death is when one is in a coma and wishes to end his life peacefully. I am not sure whether this is legal in Malaysia, maybe not.

A Will can be hand written, signed by the one who made the Will and signed by 2 witnesses. Witnesses cannot be the beneficiaries of the Will such as parents, spouse, children or anyone that the person puts as beneficiaries of the Will. Most important, the person must be of sound mind at the time of signing the Will.

Well, you and I can just create a Will without paying anyone to do it for you. Just get 2 witnesses and have it signed. It will be a legal document.

In most cases, people will seek corporation help when he/she wants someone trusted to be the Will executor. The executor is required to carry out the distribution accordingly, seek legal help to apply grant of Probate from High Court and a lot of running around. You are advised to name 2 executors in your Will, just in case the main executor either cannot carry out the duties or he/she passed away. It is not easy to become an executor if the Will is not written properly.

I guess that is one reason why many people seek professional help and willing to pay a fee for it.

Without A Will

I am learning on how to write a Will and doing one for the family. I have been procrastinating about it until someone asked me to be a Witness. I am also an Executor for someone in my family. Anyway let’s start with the impact without a Will.

Without a will, here is how the assets distributed to surviving parties:

Spouse only – 100% to spouse
Parents only – 100% to parents
Issues only – 100% to Issues. Issues refer to children & grandchildren
Spouse and Parents only – 50% spouse and 50% parents
Spouse and Issues only – 1/3 spouse and 2/3 Issues
Parents and Issues only – 1/3 parents and 2/3 Issues
All Spouse, Parents & Issues – 25% spouse, 25% parents and 50% Issues

However, there is a catch. You must engage a lawyer to apply for Letter of Letter of Administration (LA) from the High Court for the distribution order to the Land Office. In order to get the LA, the court needs 2 guarantors that has equivalent amount of assets left by the deceased. The application of LA takes 9-12 months. Again here, the beneficiaries need to agree what to do with the property.

The problem comes while applying for the LA, the parents passed away. Now the number of beneficiaries will increase because the parents’ portion will be divided to the children, meaning the deceased siblings. It will be a lengthy process moving forward.

Above information is based on my findings, I may be wrong in certain areas as I am not a lawyer. Let me know if you spot any mistake so I can correct it.

Do you like selling ice-cream? Well now you can do it virtually on iPhone with Ice Tycoon. This is another game that I like because it tests my memory and speed. I have to remember all the ice-cream combinations of the customers’ orders.

Your mission is to get the targeted sales for each level. Each time you sell an ice-cream, you get money. If you make the wrong ice-cream, you need to throw it inside the bin. That will cost you money. You also need to refill the ice-cream or the toppings if they run dry. That will also cost some money, so only refill when you need it.

Believed me if you want to fill young again, do exercise your brain. This is a simple game that allows you to do that.

Calling From My Notebook

Finally I have set up my VOIP on my notebook. Pretty cool! Now I can call and received phone calls from my notebook. I don’t have to be in the office to pick up my office calls. Everything is redirected to my notebook. That’s the beauty of VOIP, I can be anywhere, and as long as I have a notebook plus WIFI with me…I can pick up your call.

I wonder in the future, can my notebook cook my lunch and dinner. Well at least I can order pizza from it.

This is another cool game, some of you may have seen this in Facebook. Now it is on iPhone. It is a game where you are given a mission on completing some farming task. It is also testing your time management and cash flow too. If you beat the clock, you get a gold or silver medal.

I like the graphics and any kids can have fun with it. There are different animals given to you like the chicken that lays the egg, sheep that produce the wool and cow to produce the milk, of cause. The cat is to help you pick the products in the field and the dog is to prevent the big bear from killing your stuff.

Besides the above, you need to buy equipment to turn your produce to something else. Like egg to make flour and later cake. Milk to make cheese. Wool to make thread and later cloth. Each end product can fetch you lots of money. The ultimate goal is to beat the clock and get more money.

Oooh, I heard now iPhone has Farm Frenzy 2. Need to download this….

I always wanted to learn to play the piano when I was young. I took classes when I was 13 but the teacher was not good and he failed to teach me. Or maybe I do not have any music talent. My gal has been attending classes and I am learning from her.

Every time I played a new song, I get the satisfaction. Of coz my gal coordination is better than me.

Yesterday while I was surfing iTunes Apple store using my iPhone, I found this finger piano. I download the free version. I like it after playing with it. It allows me to learn play song using on a digital music keyboard. It is cool. It is easy but only thing is it uses finger. They have the PC version too.

The music key will fall and you play the key on the music keyboard, the note on the keyboard will be highlighted too. You can play the entire song with your finger. Pretty cool. The lite version is free and you want more song, you have to pay USD$1.99. A good way to learn how to play music too.

The best is that you get a full piano keyboard on your iphone to play any song you want or created. Download it to create your own music.

I always wanted to visit New Zealand. I heard there are many beautiful sight seeing places. I dislike joining tours because of the rush from one place to another. It will be so cool if I can travel on a RV around the country. I could save on hotel bills too.

I heard some RV rentals that cover emergency road service like motorhome towing. I won’t want to be fixing a RV when I am on vacation. It will be cool if I can get a straight replacement on the spot.

I will have to start planning and saving for a long trip to NZ.

I got some free Hard Rock collectibles from the hotel. The shape of the mineral water bottle is very unique. I took 2 home.

I browse the Hard Rock shop but most of the stuff there are quite costly for my pocket. I am not a fan of Hard Rock. I used to collect Planet Hollywood T-Shirt but not anymore. I love to collect stuff like hotels shampoo, soap bars and toiletries. I still have a lot of those at home. I better not collect too many stuff else I will end up living in a dump.

Durian Shell

The other day, someone bought really delicious durian for us to eat from the Orang Asli plantation. It is good to eat durian together with friends.

I got to know that if we drink water from the durian shell, it can cool our body down after eating such heaty food. Eating mangosteen helps too.

Next I learn that if you wash your hands with water from the durian shell, it can get rid of the durian aroma from your little fingers. My friend told me that there is a chemical in the inside of the durian shell that will neutralize the smelly fingers. It really works!

Yeap I cannot resist eating durian! Yummy!

I strongly believed that the opposition had a big win in the Malaysia 12th General 2008 election was due to the power of Internet. The news travel fast in Internet and people can read almost anything whether truth or not. It was really up to the people to decipher what is truth and what is fake.

In the previous years, most of the news we get from the general media were usually filtered or modified. Everyone was kept in the dark. However this general election, lots were exposed. Look at YouTube and blogs.

Some of us were kept updated every minute on the results and news about the general election. One of the site, namely MK were hit with lots of traffic that even with many mirror sites didn’t help much.

Let’s hope the change will do us good and help those who didn’t win the seat to improve. Actions definitely speak louder than words.

Fridge Magnets

I love collecting fridge magnets. Whenever I travel to a new place on vacation or business trip, I will definitely get a magnet from the souvenir shop. I got a medium size fridge and now it is filled with magnets. Hey if you can send me a magnet from your state or country, I will greatly appreciate it.

My children broke some of my magnets when playing with it. I have to take note in the future, to avoid getting those breakable ones. However some of the poor quality magnets do leave a stain on my fridge.
