Yesterday was the Chinese Ghost Festival. Penang has a lot of different and many variety of kueh available. The one that I love is Ang Ku. I never used to like it until I came to Penang. Usually the Ang Ku will come in RED color and most often served during full moon of a newborn, with the RED egg.
I have eaten some yellow colour homemade ang ku sold at Semenyih….super delicious…..now also gone!
I think the green colour one attracted me…..yummy yummy!
u tried b4 fried ang ku? I like that lor! Usually cannot finish will keep in the fridge then take out and fry..
Yummy, I love ang kus especially with the ‘luk dau’ fillings. The ones with the coconut and gula melaka are oso very yummy. Like what Annie mentioned, cannot finish, keep in fridge and goreng them later. Very delicious too.
