If your fridge has a really bad smell, what you can do is to wrap a piece of charcoal and put in the fridge. After a day, the smell will be absorbed into the charcoal. Try it if you do not believe me.
In the same way, you can also put crushed newspaper into your smelly shoes. Next day, it will have no smell at all. You do not even need to spray those un-natural perfumes into your shoes. Charcoal can absorb any smell that you want to get rid of. It is natural and good!
Now angry birds are so popular that you can almost find any products with angry birds’ pictures. I have seen flip flops, water bottles, tees, kite, bed sheets, moon cakes, stickers and lanterns with angry birds’ pictures. I am sure you have seen the angry birds’ soft toys too.
But have you seen this? *slap forehead*
Do you know that you can plant basil and peppermint from the stem? It is really easy to plant these herbs. I do not have green hands. Often I failed to plant anything from seeds. Maybe I don’t have the patient.
Anyway, first you get a basil or peppermint stem and put into a glass of water. After 1 week, it will root. Then prepare a pot and soil. You have to make sure that the soil is wet and moist before transplanting. Water it every day. You will see it growing. It is that easy and simple. See how many pots I have made from 1 basil/peppermint plant.
I was con by the flower sellers in Cameron Highland. However I am not the only one who was con by them. If you ever go to Cameron Highland, beware of these flower sellers’ conmen.
The seller told me that the fresh flowers are preserved with chemical and it can lasts for 1 year. I don’t have to put into water, just put in the vase. I did and after 2 days, all died. RM10 down the drain and a good lesson to be learn here.
These are the flowers I bought!
Don’t you hate it when you cooked some dish following the cookbook but it turns out that the looks does not match the picture of the cookbook. The other day I wanted to try out the Baliness Chilies Squid. Somehow I must have put too much turmeric, it doesn’t match the picture. Look for yourselves:
Anyway it tasted good!
If everyone do his/her bit on recycling, it will improve the environment for the future generation. I don’t buy smaller bottles of detergent anymore. I go for huge volume that I can refill onto a used small bottle. Now there are BYOB outlets called Bring Your Own Bottles to buy detergent or washing liquid. It is cheaper as you do not pay for bottling process and the bottle itself.
Anyway, here is a recycle exhibit that I went to where people make display out of recycle stuff. It was held at Leisure Mall Cheras on Mid-Autumn Festival Day. Some of them are really cool! It gives me great idea on what to do with my used bottles.
