Yesterday, my company organized a seminar by Lawrence Walter Ng. It is a very interesting seminar to motivate us. The main objective of this seminar is not motivation but how we should change our ways to serve our customers.
What is so cool about this seminar? Have you been to a seminar where everyone is motivated to participate, one way or another in a game, Q&A or volunteering to go up stage. There were more than 300 attendees. I must say the style of the trainer were very good. He is one of best speaker in Asia and he is a Malaysian. I am impressed by his work. There is just so much energy in the seminar.
If you are stress, depressed, not motivated with work/life or sad, just attend his seminar. He will teach you something that makes you see your life/problems in a different approach.
For example:
No Failures, Wrong Result, Change Strategy
There are no failures in life. We are not failures. However there are things we do that produces wrong result. Therefore we need to change strategy to produces the right results.
Often we hear these negative words:
– There are so many problems…
– I got scolded from my boss
– So difficult, cannot do…
– I don’t know…
– I’ll try …
– No Problem.
Change it to positive thoughts:
– There are so many problems -> There are so many challenges.
– I got scolded from my boss -> I got a message from my boss.
– Difficult -> Interesting.
– I don’t know. -> I find out.
– I’ll try. -> I do my best.
– No Problem -> My Pleasure.
By the way, he also gives out seminars to students who find problems in studying. The seminar is called “Art of Learning”. Pretty cool guy! He made me do a lot of silly things in the seminar itself that I never thought I will do. 😛

Ya, motivation seminar always sounds interesting. But, sometime say is easier than do 🙁
Gee..sounds like a marketing folk. I’m in sales and marketing..everything is “Can Do”. When problem/challenges arise, we point fingers.. 😆 The last part I made up myself..but I’m sure it happens at a lot of companies.
hmmm…usually I will get motivated for a while, the back to square one…not easy to practice all the theory…
my fren that is married recently (jason) worked for the speaker for a year. he is real good, i heard.
Hmm…I dunno how many motivational seminar my former company organized for us. Once out of seminar , I’m back to square one too…..sigh……..:wall:
I once cried and also became a still rod in a motivation seminar many years ago. haha….I think it’s fun and a booster for us working people.
This Ng guy’s thought is very similar to Adam Khoo’s. A self made millionaire at the age of 25.
Huisia: We cannot do everything that we learnt but when we do our best on some, it will be great. We must raise our standards. 😛
Vien: In the seminar, he thought us ownership. Anything happens, it is always MY fault.
Chanel: No theories in the seminar, all he give out are practical stuff.
Miche: He must be good because he made me do silly things in public. :wall:
MagicTree: Some of my colleagues went together, now we constantly remind each other of what we have learnt. For example, we need to take ownership of the problem, no complaining, no blaming and no excuses. Take all problems as a challenge. When one complains, we will say challengeeee…. Easier to do it in a group with support.
Allyfeel: I haven’t heard of Adam Khoo, but I heard Anthony Robbins who made ppl walk on burn coal.
Lawrence really funny meh:)..but the best speaker i met
