Yesterday I was at the Jusco sale with Emily. Wow it was havoc there with so many people queuing to get Jusco membership, to the fitting room, to pay and to grab good bargains. Oh well, I wanted to get a pair of shoes but the design wasn’t suitable. I ended up getting some groceries to cook today.

Milo, Nescafe, Darlie toothpaste, oil, maggi mee, drypers, detergent and many items were on sale. I got twin pack Darlie for RM9.00. The rest I didn’t get because I wasn’t able to carry. I saw many people buying so many stuffs and filling up their trolleys like Mt. Everest. I just want to get out of the crowd and go home.

Six months ago, I went to Matta Fair and got a package for room and water theme park in Bukit Merah. I want to bring my family there to have some fun. Due to my hubby and I busy schedule, we cannot find the right time for this. The package deal will expired end of the year and we have only December to work it out.

I called up the agent to have a weekend booking for December. Guess what? All are fully booked due to school holidays. Either that or the quota for the rooms is few. I had to resort to a weekday trip which means I have to take a day leave for it. Oh well, just for the children, we will do it.

A reminder to self, not to ever take a pre book package any more.

CAdmin: I called to order paper 2 weeks ago, how come it hasn’t delivered yet.
SStaff: Bla Bla Bla…
CAdmin: What you mean no transport to Penang? What kind of excuse is this?
SStaff: Bla Bla Bla…
CAdmin: Do you mean we have to stop operations because the supplier has no transport to Penang?
SStaff: Bla Bla Bla…
CAdmin: You better do something about this. I don’t want people yelling at me because no paper.
SStaff: Bla Bla Bla…
CAdmin: Please don’t give me silly excuses. Get those papers over here.
SStaff: Bla Bla Bla….
CAdmin: Yes, please check for me. Bye!

She is absolutely right, some time support staffs give really lame excuses when it comes to issues. They will not bother to solve it to make things right. As I hear more and more of her stories, I really empathies with admins. Sometimes managers do abuse their power and ask admins to do impossible tasks. If you have an admin, treat her well.

I was supposed to host a meeting on early morning Tuesday. However I arrived to the office, my colleagues told me network was down. I should have stayed at home and host the meeting from there. Sounds like my home have a more reliable network. I know a lot of people complain about TMNet broadband. Frankly, I didn’t face any outage or speed problem in my area.

After lunch, network came back on. At 3:15pm, Penang power outage. The best part was the other department had a Christmas tree and the lights were blinking so beautifully. Yes we have backup supply for our cubicles. Too bad the supply came back on after 15 minutes and everyone got back to work.

Last week, my Google PR was down to 0. Many suspected it was due paid links. I am not too sure myself. It was also indicated in Google web guidelines that paid links, linking scheme and hidden links to boost PR is not allowed.

Today my Firefox toolbar show PR 4 on mybabybay site and PR 3 on Gbay. I was really surprised that it is back to normal. I checked some of my fellow bloggers, some were back to normal and some still 0. Let’s hope everyone will recover from this glitch.

There is this admin who speak very loud and she can be very comical at times. Most people in my department can hear her funny and sarcastic remarks. I would like to share some with you.

She was on the phone with a support staff.

CAdmin: No we don’t collect notebook from the mail room.
Staff: bla bla bla *sorry, I cannot hear the conversation on the other end*
CAdmin: Usually, the notebook will be delivered to my department, we don’t go collect it.
Staff: bla bla bla bla…
CAdmin: You think today is my first day at work. I been working here a long time and I never collected the notebook from the mail room.
Staff: bla bla bla bla bla…
CAdmin: You go figure and call me back.

Other remarks at other time:

CAdmin: It takes so long for the support staff to answer to phone, hey I cannot wait forever.

CAdmin: This person walks in and out, never seen her get anything done. Just walk here and there. He certainly has a good life.

By now, everyone near her knows her problem. I think she knows it and maybe she would like everyone to know that too. More in the next episode.

Thanks to someone, somewhere, I got a US100 today. It is a crazy world out there. I know a few people got it too. How? It is related to paid post. Now what do I do with it, that will be the next question.

By the way, tomorrow I hope to hear of another good news. I love this time of the year. Somehow someone is sending me early gifts.

I always like to buy milo or teh tarik from my office vending machine. However I have a bad habit. When I insert the coins to the vending machine, I like to insert the bigger coins first. It is not very smart of me to do because once the vending machine ate up my coins. End up, I will loosing the higher value money.

I am trying to change my bad habit but sometimes the hand work faster than my brain. Lets hope I can train my hand to wait for my brain signal.

I always wanted to collect coins from every country. I like the US quarter, different state has different image related to the state. If you want to see the image of each state behind the quarter, look here.

I just won a bid in Ebay that have 80 different US state quarters. I cannot wait to receive it and admire it. By the way, my moms like to collect notes. She has a huge collection of it. I wonder who she will pass it to in the future.

Lately I discovered a site where I can watch Chinese Drama Series online. The download is pretty fast and I can fast forward if I want to skip. The best thing is there aren’t any commercials. I just finish a 30 episode drama within a few days. How cool is that. Oh dear, there is so much for me to do yet so little time.

Anyway, it is better than chasing Chinese episode on TV as I always missing the final episode. Not sure whether it is a coincident or what. The final episode has to come on when I am busy on that day. With this I can watch anytime when I am free.
