It is a nuisance again. Sorry lately I have been having too many problems with the telephone. Do you ever get annoyed when you are napping, suddenly the phone rang and tell you, you have missed calls???!!! I can never sleep in peace.
If you want to provide a service to your customer, don’t let your customers suffer with your so call extra service. Sure the service is free but retrieving the voice mail is 4 sens/minute. In additional to that if you have missed call, your telephone will ring. Can’t they provide phones with voice mail capability like having a red blink if there is voice mail?
Anyway for you who wants to cancel the nuisance, please call 100 and have your voicemail service canceled from TM. Be warn about the lengthy menu virtual operator, please press 1…bla bla bla.
This is a community service.

I am a fussy shopper when it comes to shopping for shoes. Believe me, I don’t have many pairs of shoe. 5 pairs at most, one pair for work, one pair for casual wear, one pair for sports, one pair of slippers and 1 pair of dinner function. I love shoes that give me comfort more than anything.
I admired my friend who wore lovely shoes. Once I saw her wearing the gorgeous thigh high boots with her lovely dress. She really knows how to shop for shoes. If you want to look for cool shoes, go to LingerieDiva.com to see the latest fashion.

I really don’t understand why people want to change the “receiving tone” to music. Oh it is called callerTunes. For those who have not come across this. It is when you call someone’s mobile, the mobile suppose to go “tut tut, tut tut…” until she picks up. Now she replaced the “tut tut” tone with a song. It is loud, annoying and those songs they chose are horrible. I have to bear with it until the person picks up.
Bad idea! Not everyone like your choice of music. Worst is the person I called was my supplier. I am very put off by it as a customer. If you are running a business, please get rid of callerTunes. It is good if you know your customer’s favorite song. If you don’t turn it off. First time hearing it, I thought I dial the wrong number or the mobile had problem.
Just imagine when you are depressed and someone chose a more depressing song for you to hear. How depressing.

Yes I am very much protected with my whole life insurance and I am pretty please with it. Not that I can carry it with me to the next life but I know that my family is well taken care off. I got my life insurance when I started working because the agent, who is my friend, told me that the premium is low when I am young. She just wanted to meet her quota and I helped her. It is a good thing as I got some good discount from her.
For those of you who are not protected, it is time you get a plan.

Two days ago, there was an earthquake in north of Indonesia, Aceh province to be précised. Penang state felt the aftershock. It was the first time I felt it. The past aftershock went unnoticed by me. I remembered when the big Tsunami hit, early morning I was at church. The church members felt shaking and furniture moving. I didn’t feel a thing. We evacuated the building. The next day, the big news came that Penang was hit by Tsunami.
This time I was at the office first floor, I felt dizzy and I thought that I didn’t have enough sleep due to busy schedule. Next thing, my colleague asked me whether I felt the earthquake. Boy was I shocked. Most of us were worried about Tsunami. Thank goodness, it didn’t happen.
Oh well, at least now I know how an earthquake will feel like. It is definitely not a good experience.

I don’t understand. The government has already announced in the papers to eliminate the 1 sen coins by April 1st. However I am still receiving 1 sen coins from cashiers. How am I supposed to dispose of it when you keep giving it to me?
By the way do you know that copper price increase so much that it takes 4.2 sen to make 1 sen. However it is illegal for us to melt the 1 sen coins to make a copper bar. Don’t get any ideas.
A few ways to get rid of your 1 sen coins. One way is to give back the cashiers, you can spend a maximum 200 of it at one go. I heard once that a guy gave 50 of it to the toll collector. Do not give it to the car parking attendant, they will throw it back to you. Last method you can just exchange it with the bank before 1st April. Malaysia got rid of a dollar coin and now 1 sen, what’s next?

The very first time I tried golf is when I worked for a property company. The company had a golf course in Karambunai Sabah. It is a very beautiful place. One of the managers took me to the driving range to practice some shots. For a first timer, I was considered not bad, at least my ball travel a few yards.
He then asked me to put on a pair of golf shoes and took me to the green. You must have the proper foot wear to step on to the green. I was very nervous and afraid to cause a queue. Anyway it was a good experience although I didn’t complete 9 holes. Golf again? Nah! It is just not my kind of game. I cannot stand the hot sun!

During Chinese New Year, mandarin oranges are part of the celebration. Mandarin Orange in Cantonese is called “kam” that means “gold” and symbolizes prosperity or good fortune. When Chinese visit one another, they will give mandarin oranges and it must be given in pairs.
This year those smaller mandarin oranges are very sweet. It is much more delicious that the bigger ones. The good thing is that it has no seed. You can easily pop 2 or 3 in your mouth. However do not eat too much of it as it is “heaty” and you may get a bad throat. If you haven’t tasted it, do get a basketful.

Do you know that giving gold for a newborn baby is a Chinese culture? It signifies something good for the baby. My parents gave my children a gold anklet for their full moon celebration. Full moon is when the baby turn one month old.
Gold is also given during wedding for the bride and other joyous occasion. If next time you run out of gift idea, do think about giving gold like gold chains, gold pendant, gold jewelry, gold earrings and others. It is affordable.

I am so glad I am in the end of my mortgage payment for my house. It feels good to be free from debt. A tip for those who are in mortgage debt is to dump big money when you have it. Usually I will put at least 80% of my bonus into paying off my home mortgage.
It is important to find a good mortgage package that gives you the flexibility to do that and at low interest rate too. Many mortgage lenders have these flexibilities. Compare between them and get one that works for you.

One thing that I liked most about Hotel Carlton is that it is very environmental friendly. The first hotel I stayed, that provided 2 bins, one of which is a recycle bin. They are certified as a Green Business.
“Green businesses help reduce waste and protect our environment by employing pollution prevention practices, minimizing waste, and conserving energy, water as well as other natural resources”
Besides that, the location of the hotel is good. A 5 minutes walk to the nearest SF famous cable car stop and 10 minutes walk to Union Square where the shopping places are. However it is pretty quiet around the area at night.

The staffs are fantastically friendly. The room was very clean and cozy. It has complimentary evening wine at the lobby reception and free WiFi internet connection. However there is this one staff that really spoiled my good impression of the hotel. It is a small matter and I will not talk about it here. Overall I am very satisfied with the hotel and would recommend anyone to stay there.

Chinese New Year Reunion Dinner is very important to a Chinese family. It is a time where every one from the family gathered to have a peaceful dinner together. We come together to catch up with one another. My mom always prepared great dishes for the occasion. I always looked forward to go back to taste my mom’s cooking.
However being married, I have to go to my in-laws home for reunion dinner. Thanks to my hubby and his family, I can have reunion dinner in my parent’s home every alternate year.
As usual, my mom will have lots of dishes until it covers the entire table. The meals are eaten over a few days. A few of my favorite dishes is the Mushroom Stew, Fatt Choy Abalone and the Sourish Vegetables (Asam Chai Boi). It is certainly a scrumptious meal.

During the festive month of Chinese New Year, most of us are enjoying the junk food, fried food, oily food, peanuts, preserved food and others unhealthy food. I think I need colon cleanser to help cleanse my system and flush away the toxins.
If too much toxins are accumulated in our body, our immune system may not function as well. It is also vital for us to take lots of fruits and drink lots of water to revitalize our cells with vitamins. Have a healthy year ahead!

I heard so much about the 2 Kuala Lumpur donut shops where people queue to buy it. I went to the Curve Big Apple to get a dozen of my own. I went there during the night time and there wasn’t any queue. How fortunate. A donut cost RM2 per piece. It is cheaper if you get ½ dozen or a dozen.

I really love it at the first bite of the Big Apple donut. The donut is really soft and the toppings melt in the mouth. I have sweet tooth so it really taste good. However for those who doesn’t like sweet things, maybe you may not like it.
A few days later, I went to Pavilion lower ground floor to try out J.CO donut. The toppings are almost the same as Big Apple but it has more selections. Yes, there was a queue but I could get a box within 15 minutes. If you do not want to queue, you can go to the drink counter and pick up a dozen right away. However, you cannot make any selection.

Overall, I like Big Apple’s donut because of the soft base. J.CO’s topping is not as sweet. J.CO is also cheaper. By the way, both donut shops, the donut is made fresh on the spot. Now it makes DD taste really bad.
If you come to Penang, please bring me these donuts. Yummy….
Recommendations: Tiramisu, Al Capone, JCrown Almond.
