I was in Singapore and there were many sales especially in jewelry store. I was looking for a cross pendant for my mom and I saw this beautiful certified diamonds cross. It was a good deal after the given discount. I looked into the magnifying tool and the cut were excellent. It was D to E color. It was something I love to have.

I also saw an attractive diamond pendant cross with ruby and red sapphire. I didn’t know that sapphire comes in red. The design was superb because it brought out the shine of the diamond.

It was a great trip to see so many good designs out there.

Life Journey

I believed when we are young after been working for a few years, we will planned our life journey. After marriage, we have thoughts about our family. We cannot but immediately get an instant life insurance quote and make the purchase without any thoughts.

However when all our children grow up and starts to work, our life plan doesn’t matter anymore. Some life plan does give some cash payout but not as much as the money you invested in. Well, it is something extra to our retirement fund.

Penang Bridge Marathon

Penang is having a Penang Bridge Marathon this Saturday 22nd November. The bridge will be closed from 2am – 10am. It is a very big event with 19000 participants running on the bridge. Participants are not just local but from also from other countries. It is truly an International Marathon.

For those participants, it will be the best weight loss diet program for them. I am sure some of them have been training for this event.

Remember those who are coming to Penang or in Penang, take note of the roads closure. Roads that will close are Aziz Ibrahim Road to Gold Coast roundabout, Pulau Jerejak Jetty to Gold Coast roundabout, the road leading to Queensbay mall, the road to Jalan Batu Maung from Bayan Baru roundabout and the junction of Lebuhraya Kampung Jawa leading to Batu Maung.

Netbooks are becoming popular. People are likely to purchase one because it is small, light weight and easily carried around. There are many branded netbooks out there. However most of them have the same features. They have features such as WIFI, Internet Browser, Bluetooth and it is just like a mini computer.

Netbooks are very affordable too. I don’t mind getting one actually. At least I can travel with it and get on the Internet. I wonder which brand is good. I heard some get overheated due to battery. You may want to avoid those brands.
I must read more review on the netbook before getting one.

Body Toning

I have been exercising on my treadmill. The treadmill helps to tone the lower parts of the body, legs and thighs. Now I wished I have some Kettlebells to tone the upper body like my arms muscles. It looks kind of flabby.

Maybe then I will have a perfect body. Well a body builder spent a lot of time in gym toning their body. I wonder how many hours of gym do they do every day to make themselves look good. Some is over doing it and the outcome is not a pretty sight. Won Bin, my favorite Korean actor has the looks and a very well body tone.

I don’t think I will be able to spend so much time in the gym. I just hope to achieve a healthy body at the end of the day.

Exercise Progress

I am making progress on my new treadmill. I exercise to stay healthy, not so much of losing weight. Although slimming down my thighs would be a good thing.

What my progress? Hrmm…very slow. The first time on the treadmill, I managed to burn 50 calories on a 30 min walk and run. Yesteday, I burned 70 calories on a 25 min run. I ran out of time because I had to go out.

Today, I burned 0 because I was too sleepy after work. However after my nap, I took 370 calories of delicious World Class Baskin Robins ice-cream. There goes all the hard work. As I said, I exercise not to lose weight but to give my heart a healthy exercise and sweat out all the body toxins.

Next week, I will hope to burn 100 calories per day.

I have a friend who loves to be in her equestrian apparel. She looks very good in it. I wonder what I will look like in those apparels. I don’t mind wearing them to take a few shots. *wink* I am sure I look good in it too. Now where are the sales in equestrian apparel??!!

It is something about the equestrian apparel that makes one look good and very well presented. I salute the designer who created this apparel. It is just so good to look at. I love the tall boots.

I walked and ran 1.6km on my treadmill. I only burned 50 calories. That is not even 1 roti canai or 1 egg. I need to work harder.

Don’t get me wrong, I am not trying to lose weight. Just stay healthy.

Coffee Aroma

I cannot drink coffee but I love the smell of coffee. Every time my colleague brew his coffee in one of those coffee makers early in the morning, the coffee aroma just tingle my nose. Of cause, it will not wake me up just by smelling it.

I don’t know why I cannot drink coffee. After drinking it, I get nausea and sick for the whole day. My mom is a coffee drinker. She drinks coffee like water. How come I don’t get her gens? Well it is also a good thing because coffee can make you dehydrated easily. If you are a coffee drinker, make sure you drink lots of water.

I always wanted to exercise but no time to do it. By the time I reach home and wait for my son to finish dinner, it is late. The other day while my family was shopping, we went into a fitness shop and started asking about treadmills. I tried some of them. The sales man cum instructor gave us a lot of info on treadmills. He told me that among the brand, made in US is more durable. I tried on some of them but the price was beyond my budget.

We went to another shop called Takasima, the sales man is really good in his tactics of marketing. He didn’t know I can see through it. First he said that there is a promo, if we get the treadmills, we will get a free exercise bicycle and he threw in a massage thingy. The price is still beyond my budget. Next he came up with a coupon with 35% discount. He kept telling me that the coupon is the last one and if I don’t make up my mind, it could be taken by someone else. Yeah Yeah Yeah…all sales people do that.

Anyway the price is within my budget and I wanted to own it. It has all the features I need with programs, incline, speed, pulse rate checks, safety feature and fold-able. It comes with life time warranty service. I didn’t even know treadmills need service. It is definitely a good deal for the price I am getting. Gift from my hubby.

Now I can exercise at home and stay healthy. It is long overdue. I just had 30 minutes of great workout. I feel superb!!

Vacation Overdue

Last two months of the year and my work is still piling up. I have a few major projects. I have last year annual leaves that I need to clear. How I wished I can drop everything and booked a vacation. Maybe I can try the myrtle beach vacation rentals. It looks good.

Actually I am looking forward to my children’s school holidays. I had plan a good vacation with them. Well I had some free frequent flyer miles to kill. I will blog all about it when we return.

RM1 Asam Laksa

Today where can you find a bowl of Asam Laksa for RM1 about US 30 cents? Seriously, there is and the place is in Kuala Jalan Baru, Balik Pulau, Penang. The stall is set up very long ago, asam laksa used to be only 30 sens.

It is also a DIY asam laksa stall, meaning you scoop your own noodle, cut your own cucumber, onions, kunyit, chili and scoop your own hot soup. You can put as much as you one in the bowl with no extra cost. Of cause the bowl is small.

The stall is managed by a malay family. I loved the Asam Laksa here. I can have at least 2 bowls of it on any day. If you go to Balik Pulau, you must go taste the special DIY laksa.

Night Owl

I am a night owl meaning I can stay up very late. However I also get hungry when I stay up late. I will go looking for food. Sometimes I eat my children’s junk food. It is scary how fast my metabolic rate goes up at night. I may need some appetite suppressant to reduce it.

Fortunately for me, I just got a new exercise machine to burn all the extra calories away. Let’s hope I can stay on it consistently not to lose weight but to gain a healthy lifestyle. Exercise will make one look younger.

Weird Dreams

Once in a while I have the same weird dreams. I am not sure you have it too. I am always getting a full bladder and tried to locate a toilet. When I found one, it is usually dirty or it has no door. Worst is one time, I could not find any and I had to do it at some weird places. Do you have this kind of dream?

Yes, when I wake up, 99% my bladder is full and I need the toilet. Once I even dream I did go to the toilet and urinated but my bladder was still full. Nope I didn’t urinate on my bed. It is really strange. Anyway, I will tried not to drink too much water before sleep to avoid these weird dreams.

Pay Attention To Signs

Exit or No Entry signs are there for a reason. Some drivers do not pay attention to them which caused accidents. I am not sure they understand what exit signs or no entry signs are or they are totally blind.

Today a driver drove into one way lane directly facing my car. She just stopped there. I wondered what she expects me to do. After a while, she had to reverse all the way out. Well if she was taking her driver’s license, the inspector will failed her right away. No excuse for driving into a no entry sign!!

Finally, we Malaysian are able to withdraw money from PayPal. I have been waiting so long to do this. Previously I ask my dear friend in US to help me do that. Now I can do it on my own. Hoorayyy!!!

Traveling Again

I will be traveling again. I need to save up money to loot some more stuff back. It would be good if I have Eagle Creek luggage. I heard their bags are pretty tough. It must be easy for me to carry around too. I am also looking for a hand carry bag with rollers.

With the stuff that I planned to buy, I would need a pretty huge luggage bag. Something not too heavy to begin with, after all, I do have 23kg per check in luggage.

By the way, my last travel SIA was pretty strict about hand carry luggage. Officers were coming around at the waiting areas to ensure passengers do not overload. I saw some folks try to hide their bags.
