After having children, I have started collecting McD toys for them. RM5 for the cost of meal and toy. My hubby and I eat the meal and they play with the toy. Someone once told me that McD is not selling fast food but a big chunk of their revenue comes from selling these Made In China Toys. Not sure how true.
Last time, I am sure you remember the craze of those lovely pair of bears where people fight over it. At 7am in the morning, there is a long queue outside of McD to buy those bears. There is one grandfather who queued early in the morning, bought a few cups of ice cream to get those few bears for his grand children. How loving and sweet. I don’t mind a grandpa like that.
Then came Hello Kitty, Pooh Bears, Snoopy, which didn’t sell, as well as those lovely pair of bears. I wonder what next?

Like you, after having Joshua, i started to buy Happy Meal everytime (got free toy).
I have collected some McD the Snoopy series but all have given away to the neighbour kids when Yee Ching was born, wonder why I didn’t keep them for my own girl….hmmm might be some brain damage after given birth….I feel that I have been getting stupid lately.
Tomorrow I’ll go & eat Mc Happy Meal!
I oso like to buy Happy Meal. Sometimes I eat so frequent that I collected the same toys twice. What I don’t like is when that particular toy is out of stock, they replace with that Snoopy (which I din collect) for me!! Geram!
Hey, we buy HappyMeal too. Yiyi loves the drum-beating toy and the shaker. But after some time, also sien aldy.
Papi: Yeah I am sian with the meals, but my children never get sian with the new toy….sigh. Now I just buy selected ones, the ones that I liked.
hehe I was an ardent fan of McD toys..ranging from pooh to snoopy to bears, except hello kitty, didn’t like them. I have them all in a bag now, waiting for faythe to get old enough (when she don’t chew toys) to pass it all to her 🙂
